MORADU BAYANA

MORADU BAYANA can be given to any number of sumangalies at any time of the year. (Basically during any functions at home)
Two moras( or cane basket with lid) are decorated.
In different zip-lock covers pack a cup of rice, toor dal, channa dal, urad dal, moong dal, Bathi/Gajawasthara, bangles, Jaggery, haldi-kumkum, Bicholai-Karumani(ie. black baby bangles+ black beads if possible), comb, mirror, kajal,dakshanai, one blouse bit / saree if possible.
Keep all the above items in the basket. Cover it with lid.
Put simple rangoli inside the house. Put a mat on it facing EAST. Guest lady sits down on the mat, facing EAST. We give haldi kumkum adikke-vizhudale (vethalai paaku), coconut / fruit to the lady. Then, if possible we put haludi to her feet (REFER ARTHI PAGE) Host holds the closed basket/mora closing with top end of the saree. The lady who receives it, receives it with border end, down part of saree. Host will give the basket and guest will recive it.
Host does namaskaram to the guest and gets her blessings
